Quarterly Email - Spring 2018

Hey Gang!

I've posted the song sets for the rest of March and the month of April on our blogspot. I'll have the month of May up this week!

You'll see a couple of new songs so be sure to check the "Song Links" tab and get familiar. I left some notes there as well as far as the key and feel for the songs. We'll be doing one of them at this Wednesday's Worship Night - it's called "Surrounded" and it's super simple, but powerful - a good song to use as a segue and pretty versatile in that we can do it in a few keys.

I think I mentioned this in a previous email, but I'd like to get a Worship Workshop on our calendar for this fall. I'm targeting Saturday, 9/8 at this point.  I have been praying and asking the Lord for some clear direction for our team - how we are currently functioning and how we can take some next steps. I have a jam packed brain full of ideas and things to share - some still need sorting out and some are definitely Spirit-led - those are the ones that make me feel quite inadequate and fully dependent on God's strength, so I'm confident that God is at work! This workshop is for everyone from the tech booth to the stage, so it would be awesome to have as many as possible attend! I'll be following up in the summer with more info for everyone!

In other kind-of-related info, Mark and I may be teaching a class on the topic of worship during Workshop Wednesdays in June - it'll run at the same time as the other workshops and will be open to anyone, not just those involved with the music ministry. We're still uncertain if God is opening that door for us, but you'll see more info on that when the sign ups for Wednesday Workshops come out in April. Keep an eye out and I'll try to keep you posted!

I think that's it for now! I'm so excited for Worship Night this week so continue to cover that evening in prayer - I know God is softening hearts and allowing this opportunity to lift up His name with the church family! Lord willing, we'll see you on Wednesday!

Any questions or things I can help you with, just shoot me an email or touch base whenever!
